West Edge Design TIG welded the horizontals in smooth, un-interrupted lines that go from the ground floor to the third floor. Perforated steel risers and laminated maple treads are accented by a very subtle, proprietary steel finish.

"...we wanted to keep the office workshop-like in the way it was put together... it would be practical for us and give the perception to our clients that we don't spend money on fancy stuff..."

Kit Hinrichs - Pentagram

Nine thousand sq.ft. of high tech offices inserted into a shell of concrete and timber. Custom aluminum and maple workstations, perforated panels, glass storefront, and steel stairs and rails. The second floor includes a model shop with state-of-the-art machinery programmed from the workstations on the third floor. These are the West Coast offices of the international design firm.
