Bill and Kevin built the Powell St. house for the Martins in 1987. This was the first in a string of houses the Martins commissioned from Bill Leddy of LMS Architects (formerly Tanner and Van Dine). The Powell St. house recieved all sorts of recognition at the time (as they all have), and by one of those incredible quirks of happenstance, the house now belongs to another client, Kit Hinrichs of Pentagram. The fledgling construction company that Bill and Kevin were affiliated with went out of business executing the expensive and time-consuming detailing, but all these years later, it still looks crisp and modern in the photos.
