By some incredible coincidence, Bill parked facing the Clementina building as part of a 1972 art project. The building housed a machine shop then, with greasy old machinery in it. Photo - Wendy Palitz.

An existing 25,000 sq.ft. brick building facing Folsom St. got a full seismic upgrade and two new stories on top; we tore down the building in the rear yard facing Clementina alley, and it got a new three story, 15,000 sq.ft. steel building over a concrete pedestal parking garage. Originally designed as condominium units, the project changed directions in midstream hoping to cash in on the dot com boom. The Folsom side is now the Mexican Consulate. The interiors feature sand-blasted timber, exposed steel stairs and rails, bamboo flooring and large expanses of glass.
