Aluminum storefront doors with polycarbonate panels close off the private offices. The table in the center has a welded aluminum base, the workstation behind has aluminum E-Z shelving. They both have maple veneer tops. The walls separating the offices are a sandwich of perforated steel, and polycarbonate. This allows the private detritus to be attached with magnets, but still lets light through. Fluorescent up-lights in an aluminum tray mounted to the E-Z system.
"..We employed basic and long-lasting materials that would require little or no maintenance..."
Polygal polycarbonate, aluminum, perforated steel and maple are the main elements for this San Francisco advertising company. Historic brick walls and metal windows contrast with the crisp interiors. Small elevators and winding stairs forced us to swing most of the material up too the eighth floor with a crane. Enormous steel conference room doors and custom maple casework are part of the kit of parts for this project. It was detailed all the way down to custom perforated stainless steel light diffusers.
